August 19, 2021 was a beautiful summer day in London, Ontario for a wedding. The couple Rachel and Nicolas were married during an intimate ceremony at 2:30pm in the backyard of the bride’s home. These smaller COVID-friendly weddings have a simple beauty to them that I do not always get to witness when shooting a very large wedding.
These smaller weddings allow the bride and groom to focus more on celebrating their love for each other with their closest friends and family, instead of being overwhelmed with the organized chaos that can sometimes come along with a larger wedding.
One of my favourite moments from this day was when Rachel, her sister and Mom shared a quiet moment together sitting on the floor of the closet right before the ceremony. Beautiful words were spoken between the three and the love between this family exudes through the photographs.
The day was filled with love even from friends and family that couldn’t make it due to Covid reasons. There was a beautiful and hilarious video put together from the couples loved ones who couldn't make it wishing the couple best wishes on their wedding day. This wedding allowed me to take some of my favourite photographs so far of my wedding photography career.
